PRIVACY STATEMENT

MVGM processes personal data. In this statement we inform our clients how we handle these personal data. This privacy statement may be amended. We will publish the most recent version on our website.

Personal data

Personal data is any data that provides information about natural persons. We use this data for the following purposes:

- to be of service to you in, for example, searching for a rental property;

- to execute a (rental) agreement or;

- because you are a member of an Owners' Association for which we carry out the management;

- if you are the contact person of a company with which we have a relationship

The amount of personal data depends on the purpose of the processing. For example, we will need more personal data if we need to assess whether you can rent a property than if you are a member of an Owners' Association.

What we do with your personal data

If you are or want to become our customer, we use your personal data primarily to keep in touch with you. Within the framework of an agreement concluded or to be concluded, we may also pass on your name to others. If you are or want to become a tenant, we will pass on your details to our client, the landlord. We may also pass your name on to a contractor, plumber or other executor, if they need to contact you for maintenance work. Sometimes it is necessary to pass on your details to a collection agency or bailiff to collect payment arrears. Legislation may also require us to provide your data to a government agency such as the tax authorities or the municipality.

What data we process

We do not process more data than is necessary for the purpose (going to rent a property, being a member of a CoE, etc). In principle, we do not process any special personal data. These are data about, for example, your health, race, sexual orientation or criminal past. If you ask us to record these data yourself, we will only do so with your explicit consent and if this is necessary for our services.

May we process your personal data?

Under the General Data Processing Regulation (AVG), we must have a basis to process your data. In almost all cases, we process your data to be able to perform an (intended) agreement. In other cases, we only process your data if you have given your consent.

Publication and Cookies

We do not publish your personal data. On our site, we may use cookies. If so, a notice will be displayed explaining why we use cookies. Your continued use of our service is taken as consent to this use of cookies. You are free to disable cookies via your browser. Please note, however, that our website may then no longer work optimally. We have made agreements with third parties that place cookies and applications. However, we do not have full control over what the providers of these applications themselves do with the cookies when they read them. For more information about these applications and how they deal with cookies, please see the privacy statements of these parties (please note that these may change regularly).

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to track how visitors use our service. We have signed a processing agreement with Google to agree on how to handle our data. Furthermore, we have not allowed Google to use the obtained Analytics information for other Google services. Finally, we have the IP addresses anonymised by masking the last octet of the IP address.

Security

It is our responsibility to keep your data secure. To this end, we have taken both organisational and technical measures to ensure that your personal data does not fall into unlawful hands or is lost. Our employees have a duty of confidentiality.

Retention period

As long as you are or want to become our customer, we will keep your personal data. Sometimes we need to keep your data longer, for example because of financial transactions where the law requires a longer retention period. In this case, we will replace your data with a pseudonym whenever possible.

Your rights

According to the AVG, you have the following rights:

- Right to Inspection of your personal data

- Right to correct your personal data

- Right to delete your personal data

- Right to withdraw consent

- Right to object to a particular use

- Right to object to automated decision-making

Of course, we can only delete your data if the agreement allows it (e.g. if you still rent a property from us, we cannot delete your data (yet)) or the law does not prescribe a longer retention period.

Please address your requests to our office. Please enclose a copy of proof of identity (with BSN number and passport photo crossed out) with your request, so that we can be sure that only you can view your own data. We will process your request within 4 weeks.

Of course, we will be happy to help you if you have any complaints about the processing of your personal data. Pursuant to privacy legislation, you also have the right to submit a complaint to the Authority for Personal Data against these processing operations of personal data. You can contact the Personal Data Authority for this purpose.
